| These
adoption stories are from the past year--as time permits we will bring you
more recent happy endings. |

Lucky was originally
found running down a highway in upstate New York with a wire around
his neck as a older pup. He was rescued only to end up spending
years in a nearby shelter and it seemed that he might live out his life
there unless something happened. Last fall he was transported to Ohio to
be brought into foster care. A lady in Michigan saw him on online
and after reading his description knew he was the dog for her!
in the beginning of this
year Lucky went to his new adoptive home. He is getting over his fear of
thunder, gained the acceptance of the two resident cats & may be starting
agility in the future. |
| Chu-pan wasn't even a year old
when he was brought into an Ohio county pound. He had ticks all over
him from running loose in the countryside. A local family met him
& fell in love. He soon found himself in his new adoptive home with
2 children. Chu-pan often accompanies one of his owners as they care
for elderly patients and brings his own special brand of 'nursing' skills
to the situation. |

Rascal was just a pup of 4-5
months when he found himself in a overcrowded West Virginia pound. All
dogs not adopted or reclaimed after a week were euthanized at this
pound. Rascal was transported to Ohio for foster care & immediately
treated for a bad case of worms. A local family saw his photo &
info on a local allbreed site & feel in love once they met him.
This summer Rascal went to his new adoptive home where he is best friends
with not only the dog & children he lives with but also the dogs next
door! He often goes next door to visit
them. |
