Emperor Woo--is a 3 yr old chow/collie or sheepdog mix who needs a special home. When Mr Woo came to us, he was thought to be a senior dog because of the problems he had getting up off of the floor & his lack of interest in running around outside. A vet exam & x-rays revealed that he is a young dog but has very bad hip dysplasia. He is an example of the cost some dogs pay for careless breeders--a dog with hip dysplasia will pass the defect on to it's offspring. Mr. Woo has been on glucosamine chondroitin for some time now & that has really helped him...he has even run around the yard at times! But, Mr Woo will never be a real active dog...unless at some time a hip replacement operation becomes a possibility. He needs a home where he will be cherished for the wonderful, sweet dog that he is & given space & room to carry on at his own pace. While he would be fine around children, a home without kids is preferred. Mr Woo is very easy going---he likes attention & will play 'chase me' at times with his current foster mom. He would make a great companion for an older person. Mr Woo is being fostered in Columbus,OH.
